Allow yourself to be guided more by your soul and Higher Self than by ego.

ours is a . . . life, lived on the run, with an endless sense of . . . chasing the future. We seldom pause to shine a light upon the ordinary moments, to hallow them with our own attentiveness, to honor them with gentle caring. They pass unnoticed, lost in the ongoing rush of time. Yet it is just such a hallowing that our lives require. We need to find ways to lift the moments of our daily lives - to celebrate and consecrate the ordinary, to allow the light of spiritual awareness to illuminate our days. For though we may not live holy lives, we live in a world alive with holy moments. We need only take the time to bring these moments into the light.

If you find yourself too often overwhelmed with the busyness of life, yet not connected to your core, your soul, you are certainly not alone.  Today’s society seems to focus on speed,  productivity, material success and superficial connection – often at the expense of a spiritual connection / life.  To find your way onto the soul path, which brings with it deeper presence, greater peace of mind, and more comfort in the world, a spiritual companion / guide may be of great help.

Your Soul Path comes from the perspective of Interspiritual counseling. Here the path is spacious, broad and exploratory, drawing upon many traditions, and is not based in a specific notion of Spirit (or God or the Divine). Instead the counselee is encouraged to develop and deepen his/her own understanding of and relation to the creative forces guiding the Universe.

AnnE is full of life, energy and spirit-a true sage and guide on this road of life.

The description AnnE uses most in describing spiritual counseling comes from one of her teachers, Kim Hughes, who said, "My job is to support people in living more from their soul than their ego."  Yes!  What does that mean?

It means we strip away all the "should's" and everything that we have been taught will bring us joy, meaning, and fulfillment in our lives and instead explore for each and every one of us what our own individual path is. We work with such questions as "What is my work? What free time activities truly nurture and restore me? Does my current lifestyle feel right for me at this point in my life?"

It means we explore what conception of God / Higher Power / Divine Spirit - whatever you call that power outside yourself that provides the flow in the universe. We also look at whether this concept fits who you are today and how you choose to be in the world. (This often means we deal with some long-overdue healing of outdated and/or damaging religious beliefs from our upbringing.)

It means we also explore the notion of your Higher Self and how connecting more deeply with that aspect of yourself can serve you.

It means we delve into the healing of your soul - whether that is by addressing unresolved grief, forgiveness that needs to be accepted or given, or anything else that "bruises the soul" to quote Ghalib - and inviting you to step into the wholeness of your authentic being and life.

It means we support you in learning to work with your energy in a way that meets the demands of your life.

It means anything it needs to mean for you to be able to live the rich, full, meaningful life your heart and soul longs for.

AnnE has received a postgraduate certificate in Interspiritual Counseling at One Spirit Interfaith Seminary, and now serves on the staff of that program as a Dean.  As a member of Spiritual Directors International (SDI), she also draws upon the resources they offer to continue her learning and connect with others in the field.

Spiritual Direction sessions are available in the Your Soul Path office in Great Barrington, MA, as well as by phone or Skype.

Working with her was a pivotal experience that changed the trajectory of my understanding of service and healing. I am immensely grateful and would recommend her services without hesitation.
