The Seasons of Your Life: Remembering Spring

  • Unity Center of Peace 8800 Seawell School Road Chapel Hill, NC, 27516 United States (map)

"The unexamined life is not worth living."     - Socrates

This seems to become more and more true as time goes on. Early in life, it can be fun to not look at things too deeply. In midlife, you may find yourself too busy to schedule time for contemplation. But, whether or not you have made a habit of self-reflection once you hit your 50's on, the big questions of life are looming. The issues of legacy, loss, death, forgiveness, and any unfinished business can no longer be avoided.

The Seasons of Your Life series is designed to help you reflect on the various stages of life from your early years to where you are today - and beyond, up to the time when you leave your physical body… Pretty obviously, this Spring event will be focused on your early years - up to your early 20s. While you will get value out of each session as a standalone, the greater opportunity is to look at all of the life pieces so you can have a sense of how they all fit together.

During "Remembering Spring" retreat, we will:

  • Reflect on what being a woman aging with soul means to you

  • Recognize the value of a life review

  • Practice guided meditation, journaling, and more

  • Learn about the psychological tasks throughout life

  • Connect with other women on a similar path

Lunch will be served, and snacks provided

Borrowing the wonderful words of John O'Donohue:
"…the fragments of your life will have time to unify, and the places where your soul-shelter is wounded or broken will have time to knit and heal. You will be able to return to yourself. In this stillness, you will engage your soul."
